Stream Software

STREAM is a powerful new image analysis software platform specifically designed from the ground up to address the requirements of industrial laboratories and research facilities.

Reliable data, ease of use, and the incorporation of a full- featured processing and analysis engine was paramount to the creation of STREAM and its new dynamic graphical user interface. Manage data effortlessly - store, retrieve, share and secure large amounts of data based on client-server technologies.

Features and Benefits

Five application-specific software levels
Providing the exact image acquisition and analysis platform needed for your individual requirements while maximizing cost-efficiency. As your needs change in the future, all Stream packages can be easily upgraded.

Stream Start
Highly-intuitive, entry-level image capture and processing software.  Designed specifically for  microscopy applications, with focus on acquisition (Olympus cameras only), image-processing, basic measurements and annotations.

Stream Basic
Highly intuitive, basic Image capture and processing software for microscopy applications with focus on image acquisition (supporting both Olympus and third-party cameras), advanced interactive measurement, annotations and reporting.

Stream Essentials
Modular image capture and analysis software for microscopy applications with focus on extended acquisition outside of the microscope field-of-view.   Create panoramic images interactively via manual XY stages.  Effortlessly create in-focus images while moving through the image focal plane with “Instant EFI”. Create macros to simplify repetitive routines and commands.  Area fraction capabilities to determine percentage of materials. Stream Essentials is expandable by use of add in modules and extensions sets, including the most common material science applications.

Stream Motion
Premium modular image capture and analysis software for microscopy applications which  provides a fully-automatic microscope interface in one user-friendly, workflow-oriented software platform for intuitive control of Olympus automated microscopes, third-party motorized stages and various automated hardware configurations.  Create panoramic and extended focal images automatically via motorized XYZ stages.  Also contains data management and archiving capabilities for smaller workgroup environments. Stream Motion is expandable by use of add in modules and extension sets, including the most common material science applications.

Stream Enterprise
Premium modular image capture and analysis software for microscopy applications with focus on image management, acquisition, measurement and reporting.  Stream Enterprise is optimized for well structured workflows where the management of high user volume, data, and security are of utmost importance.  Interfacing with Microsoft SQL™ and Oracle™ DBMS, Stream Enterprise offers a large-scale, enterprise-level database solution, networking your entire organization internally or externally via the internet. Stream Enterprise is expandable by use of add in modules and extension sets, including most common material science applications.  Also the data management can be expanded via a Secure File Repository for added security.

Application specific Extension Sets
With over a dozen optional application-specific metallurgical add-in extension modules available, Stream provides all the tools required for today’s most complex digital material science requirements.   Fully populated reports and data, in compliance with the most popular ASTM and ISO specifications, are available with the click of a button.

Grain Size (Intercept) Extension Set – Analyze grains images in accordance with ASTM E112 Intercept Method

Grain Size (Plan metric) Extension Set – Analyze grains images in accordance with ASTM E112 Planimetric Method

Chart Navigator – Evaluate live grains images side-by-side vs. theoretical “golden” images in accordance with ASTM E112

Cast Iron Exention Set – Analyze cast iron (graphite and pearlite) in accordance with ASTM A247 and  ISO945

Non-Metallic Inclusions “Worst Field” Extension Set – Analyze non-metallic inclusions via the ASTM E45 “worst field” meThod

Non-Metallic Inclusion ASTM E1245 Extension Set -  Analyze non-metallic inclusions in accordance with ASTM E1245

Layer Thickness Measurement Extension Set – Automatic and semi-automatic measurement of layer thickness

Weld Measurement Extension Set – Semi-automatic evaluation of metallurgical welds via theoretical throat, asymmetry, parallel and transverse distance

Micro Hardness Testing Extension Set – Measure hardness of materials via the Vickers and Knoop method

Point Count Extension Set – Measure phase analysis via ASTM E562 method

Banding Extension Set – Measure banding of metallurgical structures in accordance with ASTM E1268

Decarburization Extension Set – Measure the decrease in carbon content (decarburization) depth of steel

Dendrite Arm Spacing – Interactively measure the dendrite arm spacing (count and average spacing) found in aluminum alloys

New Dynamic GUI with built-in intelligence
The  interactive graphical user interface anticipates your next step and allows the most used controls to seamlessly enter and exit the display.

Training classes to increase your proficiency and develop your skills
Offered on site, in our Denver facility or via the internet by our team of technical support staff  in an interactive  environment  designed to increase your understanding of the power of our software and build upon your expertise.
