Olympus Inverted Metallographs GX51 & GX71

The GX series is the first inverted metallurgical microscope range offered by Olympus with infinity-corrected optics. These instruments produce excellent image quality and feature a modular design, enabling users to construct configurations specific to their needs.

GX71

Primarily intended for research use, the GX71 features a super-wide field, zooming, erect image and a mirror cube turret for brightfield, darkfield, DIC, polarized light, and fluorescence observation.

GX51

Designed for more basic applications in research and inspection, the GX51 has a single lever switchover for brightfield/darkfield observation, and the ability to add many optional features.

Accessories

• Transmitted light illuminator can be attached to the back of the microscope body, enabling observation of transparent specimens and powders
• GX-PHU photo unit enables attachment of 35mm and large format camera backs, simultaneously allowing spot and averaging light metering, AE lock and multiple exposures
• A full range of calibration scales is available for grain size reticles and square scales
• Observation tubes : super widefield binocular, super widefield trinocular for the GX71 (FN 26.5); widefield trinocular, widefield binocular for GX51 (FN 22).
• Intermediate tubes for the GX51: IX-ATU allows attachment of a trinocular observation tube; GX-SPU for a side port; and an eyepoint adjuster (IX-EPA)
