NIJ FY24 Research and Evaluation on Drugs and Crime: Money Laundering, Firearms, and Human Trafficking

NIJ seeks applications for funding rigorous applied research on drugs and crime to inform the development of evidence-based tools, practices, and policies for state, tribal, and local law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies that address drug trafficking, drug markets, and drug-related violence.

The goals of this solicitation are to better understand and disrupt drug crime organizations and networks by targeting drug-related money laundering, firearms, and human trafficking.

 

Application Instructions

Applications will be submitted in a two-step process, each step with its own deadline:

  1. Submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov.
    Grants.gov Deadline: May 1, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET
  2. Submit the full application, including attachments, in JustGrants.
    JustGrants Deadline: May 15, 2024 at 8:59 p.m. ET

 

Applicants must register with Grants.gov and JustGrants prior to submitting an application.

This solicitation is competitive; therefore, NIJ staff cannot have individual conversations with prospective applicants. The following application elements must be included in the application to meet the basic minimum requirements to advance to peer review and receive consideration for funding:

  • SF-424 and SF-LLL (in Grants.gov)
  • Proposal Narrative (in JustGrants)
  • Budget Web-Based Form, which includes the budget details and the budget narrative (in JustGrants)

 

Curriculum Vitae/Resumes for Key Personnel. (For purposes of this solicitation, “key personnel” means the principal investigator, and any and all co-principal investigators.)
