University of Central Oklahoma, Forensic Science Institute recently announced the 2019 Leeds’ sponsored Forensic scholarship recipients.

Dakota Farris is a senior studying to become a firearm and tool mark examiner.  He responded with the following letter:

I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to continue to reach for my goal of

LEEDS 2019 Dakota Farrisbeing a firearm and toolmark examiner. Becoming a firearm and toolmark examiner is what I have strived to achieve my entire college career. The scholarship that you provide will help to ensure that I am able to continue down this path. Thank you for providing students like me the opportunities to pursue our dreams.

Jacy Cole is a graduate student, working towards her masters in forensic science.  She responded with the following letter:

LEEDS 2019 Jacy ColeI am writing to express my gratitude to you for making the LEEDS Scholarship possible.  I was very excited to learn of my nomination and selection for this honor, and I am deeply appreciative of your support.  Being a full-time graduate student and working full-time is challenging, but receiving this scholarship has encouraged me to keep working hard to reach my goals.  As I near the completion of my master’s degree in forensic science in the fall of 2019, I hope you know that your support and generosity have played a significant role in helping me reach that milestone.  Thank you again for your investment and contribution to my education and the Forensic Science Institute at the University of Central Oklahoma.  I am sincerely grateful.
