Leeds n-IRC near-Infrared Color Camera & Software Kit
Leeds n-IRC near-Infrared Color Camera & Software Kit designed for the Zeiss Stemi 2000 stereo microscope

Introducing Leeds newest forensic laboratory imaging solution, the Leeds n-IRC Near-Infrared Color Camera & Software Kit for Zeiss Stemi 2000 providing a single CCD color camera that yields real time, high contrast, visible light (color) and n-IR images.   Through feedback from our forensic customers who purchased the Leeds Spectral Vision (LSV) system,  we are pleased to introduce this new Leeds n-IRC kit as a solution for those examiners who specifically utilize IR imaging capabilities for the location, analysis and documentation of blood spatter and gunshot residue, but do not require the ultraviolet (UV) or fluorescence imaging aspects available in the LSV.

In the example of gunshot residue (GSR) analysis on a dark piece of fabric, such as black fleece, GSR detection can be difficult.  Based on the type of fabric, how much the fabric absorbs light and it’s fluorescence attributes, GSR may not always be visible with white light.  Using the Leeds n-IRC near-infrared color camera and software kit, the near-infrared light makes detection of GSR significantly easier.

The Leeds n-IRC kit is a cost effective, near-IR imaging solution providing fast and accurate results when analyzing forensic evidence.   The kit includes CCD Color Camera, Leeds Vision and Annotation Software, Leeds IR Spot LED Illuminator, Leeds 2-position filter adapter, and Leeds Custom Base assembly.  This kit is fitted for the Zeiss Stemi 2000 stereo microscope.  All Leeds software measurements include ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate of calibration traceable to NIST standards.
