PT CNC Machinist 

Position Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 2+ years Set experience
  • Trade School Certificate
  • Experience in operating CNC and manual machines
  • Knowledge of Haas controls
  • Ability to find and select tools required for jobs
  • Detail oriented with good mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with in-process inspection of parts to print specifications
  • Strong understanding of CAD drawings and geometric tolerancing interpretation
  • Someone who has good written and oral communication, attention to detail and enjoys working on various small run projects
  • Good mechanical aptitude, positive attitude & approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Experience working in a small manufacturing shop, a plus
  • Familiar working with various materials, i.e: aluminum and Delrin (some steel)
  • Basic experience in personal computer applications and software

Schedule:

  • Flexible schedule, 25-30 hours/week (1st shift)
  • Wages: $26-$29/hour, DOQ

Mechanical Assembly Technician

Are you mechanically inclined? Do you enjoy working with hand and power tools? We are seeking candidates for an opening with an emerging forensic equipment company located in Plymouth, MN. This is a 1st shift, with hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm. An ideal candidate will have a proven track record of good attendance with past experience in mechanical assembly.

Details:

  • Must have basic mechanical assembly knowledge
  • Use of common hand tools (wire stripper, screwdriver, drill etc.) including power tools
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Support by building Assemblies and Sub-Assemblies and bagging of products
  • Positions that require a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow specific oral and written instructions
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Required Experience:

  • Mechanical Knowledge: 1 year
  • High School Diploma
  • 2-year degree in electrical
  •  

Preferred Experience:

  • Electrical knowledge and soldering experience helpful
  • Previous assembly experience a plus

Physical demands:

Job duties require both sitting at a workbench, standing at a workbench, lifting 40 lbs, bending, and other physical demands customary to a typical office environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Candidate must have a willingness to work beyond a 40-hour week when business dictates.
  • Wages: $21-$24/hour, DOQ

Manufacturing Product Manager

Leeds is hiring a manufacturing product manager to oversee the daily production of our product line.  Responsibilities include:

MISYS SOFTWARE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:

  • Check stock for upcoming builds and manufacturing orders “MO’s”, as well as projected sales orders
  • Schedule MO’s for assembly technicians according to need and availability
  • Assign MO’s for assembly technicians
  • Ongoing adjustment of stock quantities and materials used or not used (MISYS, physical on hand) mostly in Build of Material data.
  • Ongoing communication with product development team concerning design changes or information on blueprints, or no blueprint at all. Information such as (Part numbers, outside processes, material used)
  • Make adjustments regarding Part/Build design changes
  • Create purchase orders for raw materials needed (Coremark, McMaster, Precision Punch, Fedtech)

 

PURCHASING:

  • Purchasing of all products, working closely with Accounting and Management Team
  • Find alternatives for replacing or updating materials no longer available or no longer suitable to be made in house. Also includes researching most effective cost and availability

 

ANODYZING/PAINT/OUTSIDE PROCESSING OF PARTS:

  • Communication with outside process suppliers for the purpose of generating purchase orders for services needed for parts production. (quantities, blueprints and cost) Including follow up communication with discrepancies or quality control issues.
  • Shipping of materials and parts for outside processes. (Anodizing, Paint, Laser) this includes boxing of materials, arranging courier shipping.
  • Receiving materials back from outside processes for inspection (count, quality control) and notifying shipping/receiving coordinator when items are ready to be moved to stock shelves.

 

SPECIAL PROJECTS:

  • Follow through with any Special assignments and task asked of me from management team, such as stock counts, production of special orders or parts. Follow up on current production status of builds, and materials availability.

Schedule:

    • Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
    • Candidate must have a willingness to work beyond a 40-hour week when business dictates.
    • Wages: $31-$34/hour, DOQ
    • Benefits package available including 401K, health insurance, accrued vacation & sick leave
